Fagor Chef gasket
Gasket: In order to provide an air-tight seal, a Fagor Chef silicone gasket is positioned around the underside of the lid. Never use the Fagor Chef pressure cooker without the silicone gasket properly positioned. Do not use the Fagor Chef pressure cooker with a worn or torn gasket, which should be replaced immediately. We recommend that you replace your Fagor Chef gasket every 12-18 months, depending on the frequency of use.
Fagor Chef pressure lock
Pressure Lock: The grey pressure lock is used to lock and unlock the Fagor Chef pressure cooker. The Fagor Chef pressure cooker has an automatic locking mechanism, which means that by aligning the lid handle with the pot handle and sliding the lid handle to the left the Fagor Chef pressure cooker will lock by itself. For safety reasons, the unit will not build pressure if the pressure lock has not clicked into place. This measure guarantees that the Fagor Chef cooker will never open while it’s under pressure. To unlock, slide the pressure lock down towards you and slide the lid handle to the right.
